After years of creating "serious" folk art with muted colors and distressed finishes, I shifted my focus to bolder colors, opening the door... to whimsey! Things that followed were quilted rocking pigs, beaded horses, cows & cookies, blue hippos with glasses...

The idea of using paisley as a decoration occurred at some point and was filed away until I needed it - titles with alliteration were a hook for me, so paisley and pooch were the perfect fit. This is my fifth version, ten years after the first. With Americana colors and a dog tag reading "Canyon River Blues."
