I began painting what I called my "Sanity Paintings" when our children were young. There was very little time for gardening, which I love, and no time to try may hand at crewel embroidery. This style of painting gave me an outlet for both. These paintings have all been done as a flight of fancy, leaving my daily world behind while I let my imagination take me away. I start with an idea for the setting such as a container or roots in the soil. The rest just seems seems to arrive on its own. I hope very much you enjoy the painting as much as I enjoyed painting it.
